About AIyetBot
AIyetBot is the scanner used by AIyet (aiyet.hk), a free tool that checks how ready a website is for AI search and AI agents. If you found AIyetBot in your server logs or in Cloudflare Security Events, this page explains what it is.
Who runs it
AIyet is run by Ivan So of HDcourse, Hong Kong.
What it does
- It runs only when a person types a website address into AIyet and presses Scan. It does not crawl, follow links around your site, or run on a schedule.
- One scan makes a few dozen requests at most, all plain GET requests: your homepage, robots.txt, sitemap.xml, llms.txt, a few well-known files (for example /.well-known/api-catalog), and, for online shops, one product page.
- It only reads public pages. It never logs in, submits forms or sends cookies, and it never connects to private or internal addresses.
- It also requests your homepage five more times, once under each of the names GPTBot, ClaudeBot, PerplexityBot, OAI-SearchBot and ChatGPT-User, purely to see whether your site turns those crawlers away. This is the only time it uses another name, and it is a test of your site's rules, not a way around them: the result is shown to you as it is.
- Each request has a short time limit and a size limit, so it cannot overload a server.
What we keep
The site address (domain only), the score and the time of each scan. Never page contents, IP addresses or personal details.
How to allow or block it
- To allow it: add an exception for the user agent “AIyetBot” in your firewall or CDN. In Cloudflare, find the blocked request in Security, then Events, using the Ray ID shown in the AIyet result, and add an exception to that rule.
- To stop it: block the user agent “AIyetBot”, or write to us and we will exclude your domain. AIyetBot does not read robots.txt as permission to refuse a single check that a person asked for, so use a firewall rule or contact us.
